Market Risk Analyst

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Market Risk Analyst to join our growing commodities trading team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience who are passionate about financial markets and data analysis.

As a Risk Analyst, you will support daily trading operations by ensuring accurate trade capture, performing reconciliations across trading and finance systems, preparing P&L and exposure reports, and assisting with risk analysis. You will work closely with traders, operations, finance, and external counterparties to maintain data integrity and support informed trading decisions.

Job Description

• Ensure accurate and timely capture of physical and derivatives trades in CTRM systems.
• Work with operations teams to track shipment and delivery status, and assist in cost allocation.
• Support the verification and reconciliation of clearing fees and brokerage charges, investigate discrepancies, and liaise with brokers and clearing members where necessary.
• Perform routine end-to-end reconciliations across trading, risk, and finance systems to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Prepare daily P&L and exposure reports, and provide basic analysis of key drivers.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support trading and risk decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics or a related field.
• 0–2years of experience in commodities risk or a related field (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Basic understanding of financial markets or derivatives is a plus.
• Exposure to commodities (especially oil) is advantageous.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
